Baby Convertible Cribs
by Randi ReeseThere are many choices for parents when it comes to choosing a baby crib. Baby convertible cribs are an excellent choice. A convertible crib converts to a toddler bed, day bed or full size bed.
Convertible beds can be more expensive than standard baby cribs. This is because they are specially designed to be able to be reused as the child grows. They are also typically made of higher grade materials that will withstand years of use.
When choosing a baby convertible crib keep in mind several factors that you will need to consider. First, think about cost. While it may be slightly more expensive to make the purchase now remember that you will alleviate other costs down the road as the child grows up.
Another factor to keep in mind is the décor of the nursery as well as future decoration. Choose a sensible material that will coordinate well with many types of designs. Stick to stained wood rather than painted for better wear and so it will work with many types of design styles in the future.
Finally, when purchasing a convertible bed consider where it will be used again. If you are just starting a family you may want to use a standard crib which can be used again and again as your family grows. Of course, you can later convert the crib to a daybed to allow placement in a guest room, a wonderful second-life for the crib.
When purchasing a baby convertible crib you may want to purchase any additional conversion hardware at the same time. This will help you later as it may become hard to find the exact hardware needed for conversion when the time comes.
